Kwik Stop

We ALL have made brief stops at fuel stations in the midst of road trips, although suppose that fuel station was A Kwik Trip or Kwik Star. Kwik Trip was founded in 1965 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, although its headquarters have been in La Crosse since 1973. The locations within Iowa and Illinois are branded as Kwik Star instead in order to avoid confusion with QuikTrip; Kwik Star first opened in Iowa in 1993. Anyway, Kwik Trip is currently constructing two Whitewater locations, the first of which is by the roundabout at Elkhorn Road. Previously in 2005, an independent grocer […]

Community Scene Perspective

For the community you reside in, you would indeed be aware of its scenery. Just consider pausing and viewing how it appears, however; it will depend on what portion of the community it is, as well as the age and type of those buildings. For instance, the downtown area of Whitewater contains buildings from the later portion of the 19th century… Also on Business Highway 12 in western Whitewater would be the more modern businesses and restaurants, as well as a few senior apartments, Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church, a couple hotels, plus Hawk Bowl (with apartments on the inverse side […]

Fitness Within a Lifetime

Once, when dad and I were en route to home following drive, we went past a large fitness center, which was a Lifetime Fitness location. Lifetime Fitness contains everything you would contain within mind when it comes to the interior of a fitness center: equipment such as treadmills, exercise bikes, other stretching equipment, weight-lifting related ones, as well as balls for its yoga/club room, plus specific rooms, such as those ones with the exercise equipment containing televisions, as well as a rock climbing area… However, within THIS fitness center chain, there is capable of being quite a bit of ADDITIONAL […]

The Ingleside Post

I really apologize for doing this post on a Tuesday rather than the weekend, it is only I ended up getting spaced off, as well as the fact that it was rather tardy when I thought of doing the posts. I was also out rather a bit on Sunday, first with Dad for a drive up to Cambridge for shopping, then up to Deerfield and back, as well as a walk later on. I did insert this post’s title on Saturday, however, prior to me unintentionally doing it with ANOTHER (this one) post. I began working on this post further […]

Long Gone Lyons Rails

My only post of July. Down below are two photos of abandoned wig-wags and rails in Lyons, Wisconsin in 1997. The wig-wags and rails look like they are in pretty bad shape. The line that was abandoned was the Milwaukee Road SOUTHWESTERN line in 1980. Finally, in 2000, the wig-wags were removed to a private collector from Minnesota, and the rails were turned into a trail as well. This post is now through. CATCH MY OTHER POSTS!
