Have you ever headed out for a stargazing trip? Whether it was a solo trip, or with your family or anyone else you know at all? Well, my father and I have done so, twice, not too long ago, even if the skies were not that great for it both times…

Ellison Bay, Wisconsin is located further up past the city of Green Bay, near the tip of Wisconsin’s northeast pointing strip (if you are not aware of what I mean, I fairly simply suggest peaking at the state on a there map or it as a clipart image). In Ellison Bay, there also happens to be a state park that can be used for official stargazing, by the name of Newport.

After we had been planning it out for a while, dad and I drove out to Newport State Park in Ellison Bay in August 2022. Dad had previously attempted to book a hotel for us by Ellison Bay, although those hotels were all full (perhaps with it being the summer). We believed a hotel in Green Day so I suggested having a hotel in Green Bay or Sturgeon Bay instead. We ended up having a hotel in Green Bay after all.
