Produced by Spellbound Entertainment, The Koala Brothers officially ran from 1 September 2003 to 31 October 2007; its original networks were CBeebies in the United Kingdom, and the ABC Kids block on ABC Television in Australia. After ending, it would continue to rerun on both those channels until December 26, 2015 on CBeebies, & on the ABC Kids block until December 29, 2017. In the United States, TKB aired on the now-defunct Playhouse Disney block on Disney Channel from January 26, 2004 to May 16, 2008, and on the Disney Junior channel from March 23, 2012 to September 2, 2013. This series focuses on two koala brothers (hence its title) named Frank & Buster, who together are a helping duo with their small yellow plane, which they fly in around their Outback home to spot and then help out others in need; Frank operates as the plane’s pilot, while Buster uses a telescope from in the plane to spot their friends.
Also living with the Koala Brothers at their homestead are 2 children, Ned (who lives next door to their house in a caravan) & Mitzi (who resides with them in the house). Each episode revolves around Frank and Buster helping out either one of those two or any of their other 7 friends: mailman George, shop runner Sammy and his young helper Josie, the sporty Archie, motorcyclist & cafe runner Alice, Penny (who doesn’t actually talk like the other animal characters; instead she communicates through squeaking penguin noises), a young explorer from Antartica who visits the Koalas’s outback home area from time to time, and Lolly, who runs an ice cream service in her ice cream van.

P.S. Do eternally Rest in Peace, Jonathan Coleman (29 January 1956 – 9 July 2021), who narrated the series.
