Well, it’s finally summer again now, and this will be my only June post. For all of you people now my age, you probably have cell phones just like I do. In case you were wondering, THIS is how you should use them. In case you want to call someone, you know what to do. Just go to the phone and call that person. But maybe one day, you’re thinking, “Well, of course, I need to call someone very badly. But you know, I just don’t wanna talk a lot.” Don’t worry, you can just send that person a text […]
Summer’s Nearing
My only post of May. This will be short. We only have 3 1/2 days of school before summer vacation. Can’t wait! That’s the end of this post. CATCH MY OTHER POSTS!
My Washington D.C. Trip
My first and only post of April! This will be short. Me and several 7th grades and on a field trip to Washington D.C. for 6 days. I liked the Washington Monument and the Mt. Vernon boat ride the best. That’s the end of this post. CATCH MY OTHER POSTS!
Bucks to Badgers
My first and only post of February: A basketball team is the Milwaukee Bucks. Another team is the Wisconsin Badgers. They both are near me. I like them. That’s the end of this post. CATCH MY OTHER POSTS!
Kalahari Resorts
Every year, my parents and I go on a trip to Kalahari Resorts in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. Besides Wisconsin Dells, there’s a Kalahari in Sandusky, Ohio…. Then, a 3rd location was planned for Fredericksburg, Virginia, but it kept being delayed. Now the 3rd location is in Poncoco Mountains, Pennsylvania. You never know….maybe sometime soon, the Fredericksburg location just MIGHT be built and then open, but for right now the Fredericksburg location is being discussed and the Wisconsin Dells, Sandusky, and Poncoco Mountains locations are being fun-filled. That’s the end of this post. CATCH MY OTHER POSTS!
Hooked on a Line
Remember how I said I would do a post NEXT weekend? Well, it’s being made THIS weekend. Sorry, but with so many events going on and me being tired, I haven’t been making much posts these days. On September 30, 2004, Japanese Scientists went on a 5-ton fishing boat to the ocean, with sperm whales leading their way. They then lowered a line to 3,000 feet under the ocean. The line had a camera, 2 hook traps, and a fish bait. They had did this 23 times in the past. Then, at 9:15 A.M., a Giant Squid 26 feet long appeared, and […]
Rare to Find These Logos
My first post of December! Also, sorry I haven’t been making too many posts lately, I’ve just been tired and pretty busy with other things. From 1996 to 2007, Nickelodeon used a ending logo shaped like a lightbulb: In the full version, however, a hand pulls on a string. You just cannot see the string because the light bulb is so bright. The full version is show right below. There are also many MTM logos. Down below are some of them. Also, Horizon airplanes have been repainted into Alaska airplanes, and Many Big Kmarts are now normal Kmarts again. That’s the […]
Goodbye, Sentry
My first (and only) post of November! I also talked about this Sentry closing because of the Wal-Mart next to it being more cheaper in my last post, but here I will talk about it some more. The Sentry Foods market in Whitewater, Wisconsin was built by Fleming Companies, Inc. in 1997. The Daniels company purchased it in 2003. The Sentry is a chain of grocery stores through Wisconsin. Different companies own different Sentry stores. The only other Sentry stores owned the Daniels were located in Janesville (2 stores), Walworth, Elkhorn, and Belleville. East Janesville Sentry West Janesville Sentry Elkhorn […]
Turn on your Noggin
Sorry, I’ would’ve written a post LAST weekend, except we had to much business to do. In 1999, a preteen network called NOGGIN launched. From 1999-2002, the channel was meant for preteens. Some programs were meant for preschoolers, however. On April 1, 2002, the format was changed, and now little children programming was shown on it ALL the time. On the same day Viacom lanced The N, a network for teenagers. At 6:00 PM ET every night, Noggin would switch to The N, but in the morning at 6 AM ET, they would switch back. It went like this for […]
Once a Road, now a Bike Path
In Madison, Wisconsin (before 2006), there used to be a road called Thornton Avenue. It had 2 railroad crossings. One used Gates and Flashers. The other used Wig-Wags. Both crossings were used by the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad. Unfortunately, I could not find any pictures of the Thornton Avenue #1 Gates and Flashers anywhere on the internet. So I just have some pictures of the crossing #2 Wig-Wags down below. Down below is a photo of the Wig-Wags in action. But then, in the summer of 2006, for reasons unknown, the road was narrowed, and was renamed as Yahara Parkway. The […]
